With a passionate dedication to community transformation. Dr. Buddy Hicks is committed to developing relevant ways to bring the transforming message of Christ to the whole community. He is an active member of the board of the Humble Chamber of Commerce as well as the owner of two downtown Humble ministries (Fuel & Humble Skatepark). Both of these venues continue to provide a safe & relevant environment for area students as well as providing opportunities for volunteer staff to earn college scholarships.

Dr Hicks also leads the North East Ministerial Alliance a network of local churches and ministries.

Fuel Cybercafe (visit website)

Fuel is a music venue and coffee shop located in historic downtown Humble. On Friday and Saturday night Fuel comes alive as an all age venue where local bands are able to come and play for their fans, families and friends. The Fuel volunteer program gives area students the opportunity to learn firsthand how to operate a coffeeshop and music venue as well as accumulating credit towards the Jay & Sally Mincks College Scholarship Program. promo video>>

Humble Skatepark (visit website)

This 8,000 square foot outdoor skatepark has become a popular skate spot for area skateboarders, inline skaters and bmxers. Humble Skatepark serves the local skating community in a variety of ways; including Skate Camps and Competitions. An onsite air-conditioned Skateshop also stocks the equipment these skaters need to continue to excel at their sport. North East Ministerial Alliance (visit website)

For over 15 years this Alliance of North East Houston Churches and Ministries has provided an important way for pastors and ministry leaders to connect. Regular monthly lunches and prayer meetings are powerful catalysts towards spiritual transformation.

MS150 Houston to Austin Bike Ride

Dr. Hicks rides his Giant bike on various occasions to raise money for important causes throughout the year. His recent ride was the MS 150. This ride was from Houston, TX to Austin, TX. Approximately 13,000 riders participated in this most popular event. MS 150 rides like this one are held all over the nation each year. The Houston to Austin is one of the top money producers for MS. Dr. Hicks is a member of the Administaff, Inc. bike team. Administaff, one of the nations top HR companies, with headquarters in Kingwood, TX
